Studio 6

The opposing forces are working quite well in this piece. I will be looking for ways to develop this further. The bouts of 'leaving' and returning are interesting and the held moments of closeness create a sense of poignancy and anticipation/broken rythmn in what may happen next. One of the principal founders of Contact Improvisation Dance, Nancy Stark-Smith said, 'If you can think of nothing to put in - put in nothing'. So moments of stillness can be as rich as any movement.
