I see these prisms of blurred people shapes and forms as representative of the hurried, half-glimpsed sense of just-missed detail in the crowd - a collage of colour, tone, sound and movement. They have enabled me to begin to approach the issue of how to create a moving crowd across the space. I do not necessarily see them as lasting, more as an interim stage toward cutouts of people, both moving and static. I have intentionally made them much bigger than avatar size to suggest an ambiguous sense of space - hieratic scaling of important elements within the composition.
